Mount Pleasant Animal Medical Centre (Farrer)

Mount Pleasant Animal Medical Centre (Farrer) Pte Ltd

Mount Pleasant Animal Medical Centre (Redhill) was the newest baby of the Mount Pleasant Animal Medical Centre management. It was set up and officially opened in July 2010. The work flow increased and had established stability over the years when Dr Heng and her expertise shifted and settled there, bringing along with her, all the patients suffering from eye problems and their loyal, diligent caregivers.

After 4 lovely years in quaint Bukit Merah, the team and establishment had to relocate as nearby as we could find which met with criteria such as ample clinic space, good access to parking and a similar friendly, neighbourhood ambience. And we arrived at Farrer.

With a new location, a new professional outlook and renaming was deemed essential. Now called Mount Pleasant Animal Medical Centre (Farrer), we strive to provide more and better service with staff expansion, a brighter, newer, professional (and bigger) clinic.

Although we sentimental people will miss Bukit Merah and our former homey clinic dearly, we look forward to this change and will make a new, comfy and refreshing home out of Queen’s Road.

We thank all valued patrons at Redhill for all their support and hope to see you at Farrer now. We hope that we may provide you the same comfort, security and pleasantness at our new clinic.

We also wish a warm welcome to our new neighbours and possibly loyal patrons, friends and patients.

Our Veterinarians

Dr Heng Yee Ling

Dr Heng graduated from the University of Edinburgh. During the course of her studies, she realized her interests in soft tissue surgery and in particular, veterinary ophthalmology. In 1997, she completed the Post Graduate Foundation Course in Veterinary Ophthalmology. Ophthalmology is an interesting and very challenging aspect of veterinary work as it requires a sound knowledge of internal medicine and surgery. Although her caseload is mostly eye related, she still enjoys the challenges of other fields, in particular surgery. Outside of work, she loves horses, horse riding, eating and travelling.

Dr Ang Yilin

Dr Ang Yilin graduated from the University of Sydney, Veterinary Science with First Class Honours in 2005. She worked in the outskirts of Hunter Valley, New South Wales for a year before Joining Mount Pleasant Animal Medical Centre. She has special interest in feline medicine & is a member of the International Society of Feline Medicine. Strangely enough, she did not like cats before until she went to vet school! Currently, she has 2 cats - Billy, a Domestic Short-haired cat she brought back from Sydney and Kaya, a local Domestic Short Haired cat she rescued from a coffee-shop in Bedok. Away from work, she likes watching movies and travelling.

 Dr Teo Jiawen

Dr Teo graduated from the University of Sydney in 2010. She has a particular interest in opthalmology due to exposure in this field early on in her career and aims to further improve and advance herself in that aspect. She also enjoys other areas of veterinary medicine especially soft tissue surgery. In her free time, Dr Teo likes being outdoors, eating, travelling and spending time with her dogs and family.

Dr Natasha Snowden

Dr Snowden graduated from Murdoch University in 2010. She has been working with the Mount Pleasant Group since then. She is interested in small animal internal medicine and has recently obtained her membership in Small Animal Medicine with the Australia and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) in 2018.
